Greater Moncton continues to stand out as a destination of choice for newcomers. In 2025, the Moncton CMA welcomed 4,575 permanent residents, accounting for nearly 42% of all permanent residents admitted to New Brunswick. That continued momentum speaks to Moncton’s strength as a welcoming, diverse and inclusive community where people are choosing to build their future.

A strong entrepreneurial spirit. A dynamic downtown. A bilingual workforce. A growing economy. These are just a few of the reasons why more and more skilled individuals from around the world are choosing to make their mark in Moncton. Our city combines the energy of an urban centre with the beauty of the natural landscape, alongside a vibrant cultural and social scene. We are passionate about building an inclusive community where families of all backgrounds can live, work and thrive. In Moncton, you can have the best of both worlds: the amenities of a larger city, with a quality of life that is uniquely our own.

Events for Newcomers and International Students

We host events for newcomers and international students throughout the year. Whether it’s job fairs or settlement fairs, our goal is to connect you with employers, entrepreneurship services, government agencies, settlement agencies, language services, and volunteer-based organizations that exist to help you transition to Moncton.

For international students, we also provide support beyond events — helping with integration and connecting you to the right resources so you can succeed academically, socially, and professionally.

The more connected you are to your new community, the more likely you are to succeed — and we want to help you make your mark.
