• Revitalization of Downtown: "Very impressive way in revitalizing the downtown area. Aligned with the City's economic development goals and received more investment in return."
• Avenir Centre as a Catalyst: "A fine narrative on how the Avenir Centre development was the catalyst for significant downtown development. City leadership and its core economic development team undertook a thorough downtown development planning process - including research and analysis on downtown properties, prioritizing properties and specific downtown areas to target, outreach and detailed meetings with property owners to engage them in the vision and possible opportunities for revitalization, and the city as the conduit to redevelopment over a 4-year period."
• Impact Across Industries: "Impact and increase on the tax assessment is apparent along with the impact from a variety of industries - hospitality, retail, housing, construction - and associated jobs. 'Pride of Place' outcome for the community."
