On January 28, 2025, the City of Moncton proudly hosted the Community Connection event at the Capitol Theatre. This gathering brought together students from post-secondary institutions in the Greater Moncton area, community and student leaders, and service providers for an evening of learning, engagement, and networking.

The event featured insightful discussions on financial literacy, housing rights, an RCMP presentation, and community services. Attendees also heard inspiring testimonials on volunteering, community engagement, and career pathways. Special thanks to our panellists: Johana Duarte (NBCC-Moncton Campus), Hadrien Gayap (University of Moncton), and Funmilayo Victoria Ajare (Crandall University), who shared their experiences as international students in Moncton. Participants gained valuable resources and tips to help them integrate and thrive in the Greater Moncton area.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Dawn Arnold, our guest speakers, and our community partners, including Crandall University, Oulton College, NBCC, University of Moncton, Eastern College, CCNB-Dieppe, the Volunteer Centre of Southeastern New Brunswick, the Codiac RCMP, and TD Bank, for their collaboration. We also sincerely thank the many community agencies who attended to connect with the students and our Greater Moncton partners, the Town of Riverview and the City of Dieppe. This event was also made possible by the dedication of our volunteers.
