The City of Moncton continues to experience steady growth in its construction sector. In the third quarter of 2024, Moncton issued 346 building permits with a total value of $84.3 million, bringing the year-to-date total to $232.9 million – a 34% increase compared to 2023. Residential projects lead the way, accounting for 67% of the total permits and adding 370 new housing units. Major projects include a $17.3 million apartment building on Millennium Blvd and a $6.5 million warehouse for Kerr Controls.
