The City of Moncton partnered with Working NB to hold 6 Newcomer and International Student Employment Fairs and one Refugee/Internally Displaced Hiring Event. It was amazing to see over 60 employers from the region come together to offer job opportunities to an average of 1,500 job seekers 

As a direct result of these events, 248 positions were filled, contributing to close to 10 million in payroll to the local economy. These positions were in various sectors, such as finance, construction, healthcare, education, customer service, manufacturing, and more, with an average salary of $42,000.

But these job fairs are more than just connecting international talent with the labour market. They provide newcomers with the opportunity to network, volunteer, and connect with their new communities. It's a great way to expand their professional network in their new community and meet with local service providers and industry associations.
